Worthington's Mighty Gertrude (Gerty)
Meet Gerty, a registered Guernsey with pink papers from the Guernsey Recovery Program. Gerty has a touch of Jersey in her background, which may explain her rich, delicious milk. In her first lactation, she peaked at 6.5 gallons a day on twice-daily milking, with 6% butterfat and 3.8% protein. Her somatic cell counts are consistently low, resulting in excellent milk quality.

Gerty is a proven nurse cow who loves caring for calves. She easily accepts babies and thrives with them by her side. She would be an excellent fit for a family homestead experienced in calf sharing or for someone looking to milk regularly. Gerty's fertility is outstanding; she’s had two calves via AI and is currently carrying an embryo calf, due May 1st. She will be available after she calves, and you can choose to take her alone or with a beef cross steer calf.
